Elle - Thanks for the comment. I really hope the lemon torture works for you. I still had a hint of bitterness that came back about two weeks after the fact, but it was really slight and didn't last long.

Best of luck, and please comment again if the lemon process works for you, as others will eventually need a remedy, too.

OMG. I finally figured out it was Melissa's pine nuts as well. I'm in my 5th day of taste bud agony. Everything tastes like bitter soap. I was really scared at first because a bitter taste in your mouth can mean some serious disease could be lurking. How can this organic company keep manufacturing this crap? And from China no less. Thank you for helping me feel less "nutty". I'll try the lemon (acid) taste test.
Sincerely
Elle
I got the nuts at Vons in San Diego

The recipe was simple and delicious. If you make this with sunny side up or poached eggs, please let us know how it turns out!

recipe looks simple and delicious... my kind of meal ;) i feel like you could almost make the eggs sunny side up or poached (instead of boiled). the though of the yoke running over the bacon and potatoes are making my mouth water!!

Unfortunately I think that video isn't the best representation of what they did, but it was the first opportunity I had to set down my delicious plate of food and cocktail to video them. The rest of the set was actually much better performed.

Thanks, Mark. Just started on Real Food Has Curves and am really enjoying it. Now that Jessie and I are done with business travel for awhile I'm sure we'll start digging into some more recipes from Cooking Know-How, too. Keep the great books coming, and hope we'll see you and Bruce at the Epicurean Classic again this year.

Wow! Those are some serious ribs! I'm glad you liked them. I can't wait to see how you take that basic technique in our book and vary it to your own spice blend. Pretty soon, you'll have a house blend like no one else's!
